garbage day | 2009-08-06

i just filled a garbage bag 3/4 full with old photographs.

anything and everything that had the smallest ties to what used to be.

i thought it would sting.
i thought it would hurt like hell.

but you know what?

it didn't.

it felt perfect.

like that was exactly what i was supposed to be doing for the last hour and a half.

the physical evidence is all but gone.

now if i could just get a handle on all of the emotional stuff.....
